A Christ-Mas Prayer

Written by Rev. AndreaGrace, 2022

This prayer poem is Rev. AndreaGrace’s gift to you!  She invites you to read it through and notice what resonates in your heart and then ponder that as you move through your days. What invites you to go deeper and explore more?

If you are looking for someplace to worship this Christ-mas, please consider joining Rev. AndreaGrace and the Faithful 15 for Mass on Christmas Eve at 4 PM ET – both in person in the Boston Metrowest area and on zoom.  You may register here!

Divine Love-

In Solidarity

You chose to come to earth

In the darkness, that we may recognize the light

To remind us of Your Eternal Presence

From the beginning of time

Ruah – breath of life

Breath of heaven

The Word that became incarnate –

Took form in creation and

In each of us

Your presence throughout the generations –

merciful and forgiving

gracious and patient

abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness

To remind us of Your Eternal Essence

A Mama Hen

A Generous Dad

A woman with a lost coin who hosts a party when she finds it

A father with two lost sons who hosts a feast when the first returns

You are Both-And

In solidarity, You came to accompany us bringing

Compassion as You enter our suffering

Hope and new life as You enter our deaths

Courage to build a new kin-dom

with justice and mercy

kindness and abounding love

And so we come once again this Christ-mas season

Knowing in You we find the Bread of Life

In you we experience the

Miracles of life

The healing of body, mind, heart and spirit

The Way of Love

The Way of Life

We come bringing you

our hearts

our minds

our very selves

And You welcome us

just as we are

As we adore YOU,

Mama Mary and Papa Joseph

lovingly adore each of us

and gently place YOU

in OUR arms

to be cradled

so that YOU may

grow with Your wisdom and grace

in us

in our lives

in our world

Your angels surround us singing the praises

And whispering Your truth in our souls:

We came from Love

We are Loved

We are to be Love in this world.

And for all of this we re-joy-ce with hearts overflowing with gratitude

Amen. So be it.
