On the first Sunday after Pentecost – the Church celebrates the Trinity – God in three manifestations. This year, that happened to also be May 31, the Feast of the Visitation – when Mary and Elizabeth encountered one another – cousins both miraculously pregnant. Through song, readings, and reflection, we will explore the different ways we come to understand and experience God – and we see that presence reflected in The Visitation.

Pentecost is considered the Birthday of the Church. The Holy Spirit – Ruah - God’s breath and flame – are in each of us. The laying on of hands – fans the flame.

In Genesis, we read that we are created in God’s image – male and female, so God must have a feminine side. In our service on May 10, we reflected on this side of God.

In the Judeo-Christian Scripture of Leviticus, we read that God commands us to love the foreigner as ourselves. What does this look like? How do we live this out? How do we support immigrants today?

A tender spiritual reflection honoring Janet - a prayer partner and spiritual grandmother, celebrating faith, healing prayer, and resting in God’s loving Spirit.

This Epiphany reflection explores how God’s revelations continue to unfold in our lives today. Through scripture, poetry, women’s wisdom, and personal stories, it invites us to notice the “aha” moments of clarity, calling, and holy surprise—and to cultivate practices of discernment that help us follow the stars God places before us.
