Welcome to Rev. AndreaGrace's Blog!

My ministerial pain… and 2 heartfelt invitations

Last weekend, I, Rev. AndreaGrace, shared this with the BeLoved community and I wanted to share it with YOU and ask that you share it with your circle of love...:

One of the most difficult parts of being a priest is hearing of all the pain that the Catholic Church has inflicted on my sisters and brothers as the Church calls people out for being gay, for being divorced, for speaking up about their vocation to the priesthood even though they are a woman or married or gay. This calling OUT is not in our Catholic roots. It is not the example that Jesus set.

Jesus was about calling each person in - inviting individuals to the table - especially those whom society deemed unlovable or failures. Jesus was about loving people into wholeness and into holiness in an ever expanding circle of love. That is our model here at the BeLoved community… all are welcome. No matter what.”

Today, I extend to two heartfelt offers to you and those in your circle of love:

1) If you or someone you love has been called about by any religious leader or institution, Catholic or otherwise, I invite you and your lovd ones to share your experience with me.

I will hold your heart as I listen with my heart. I hope and pray that our time together will lessen your pain and bring some healing. Please reach out to me at belovedATrevandreagrace.com

2) Please drop in for one of our BeLoved prayer services where we celebrate the Catholic sacraments in renewed, beautiful, meaningful and life-giving ways. No pressure to return. No need to commit. Just stop by- on zoom or in person. We'll be delighted to see you.

Our world is so full of pain and it seems to get scarier with each passing day,. Our time together in BeLoved services provides a refreshing oasis in what can seem like a desert of hardship. As people are leaving the services, they most often comment that the service was “beautiful.” Today, more than ever, we need “beauty” to lift our spirits.

Holy Week is Here

On Sunday, we begin Jesus’ journey through a roller-coaster of a week – from a triumphant entry to holiday meals, from a call to serve to betrayal, from death to new life. Join us for this spiritual ride – as we join with Jesus and use His example to better respond to the ups and downs and in-betweens of our own lives. See our schedule here.

By the way, we are so grateful to be journeying through Holy Week with the Presbyterian Church in Sudbury finding our commonality in Jesus’ way of love..

A Spring Blessing

Dear Beloved Companion:

As winter turns to spring,

may you experience new life!

May you find a flock of birds with which you can soar.

May you find a spiritual nest that you can call home

a place where you can feel the love,

where you are seen,

where your unique birdsong is recognized and

where you can feel treasured.

Amen. Ameen. Ashay and So it is.

PS - I really hope you will forward this to people you know who have been hurt AND

I really hope you will stop by a BeLoved service
