Founded in 1975, WOC is the oldest and largest organization advocating for women’s ordination as deacons, priests, and bishops in an inclusive, accountable Catholic Church.
Rev. AndreaGrace reflects:
I am humbled and honored to join this visionary movement. WOC has inspired me through:
Courageous action – from Vatican protest marches which led to Pope Francis including women’s voices in the Synod to local demonstrations to raise awareness
Groundbreaking resources – like the Comprehensive Catholic Lectionary, which lifts up women’s stories and uses inclusive language true to Jesus’ example.
Global collaboration – empowering people everywhere to examine and reimagine the Church.
Prayerful witness – centered on justice, hope, and love.
This year, WOC marks its 50th Anniversary, celebrating five decades of Spirit-led leadership.

Together, let us pray for the day the Vatican fully recognizes the Spirit’s call—welcoming women, married people, and LGBTQ+ Catholics into ordained ministry in the example of Jesus himself.

Today is the Feast Day of St. Therese of Lisieux, our matron saint of women's ordination. In her diary, St. Therese wrote: “I feel in me the vocation of PRIEST; with what love I would carry you in my hands when, at my words you would descend from Heaven.” (Story of a Soul 8 Sept 1896). St. Therese of Lisieux, pray with us, that your deep desires will come to fruition!
